Festival Branding | Gion Matsuri The Gion Matsuri is one of the oldest and most famous festivals in Japan. The brand of the festival keeps old traditions and invites modern design. The Geisha is one of Japan’s most recognized traditional character, whose identity has been drawn. The style of the illustrations are derived from old Japanese woodblock illustrations in combination with my personal aesthetics.

Inspiring flavors name each jar character – Naked, Chunky, Honey + Creamy. Eating peanut butter sandwiches brings back the memories of being knee high – a child enjoying oneself to a classic + simple sandwich. The illustration represents that exact feeling of innocence + youth.
